Manchester Band Photoshoot Archive: Gibbo at Studio 5 Creative

I’ve just added a set of archive photos of the Manchester-based band Gibbo to the Be Seen To Be Heard! blog archive. Though the band has since disbanded (R.I.P.), I had the privilege of inviting them into my central Manchester studio for a creative photoshoot about a year ago.

The goal? To capture the raw energy and distinctive presence that defined their music—a powerful blend of heaviness and elegance with a beautifully abrasive edge. I wanted band portraits that were bold yet refined, echoing their essence as performers.

For the final edits, I chose a clean black-and-white aesthetic. Stripped down, impactful, and timeless—just like Gibbo themselves.
