Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming NOVA into my central Manchester studio for a high-energy photoshoot. Known for effortlessly blending genres—from jazz to pop—NOVA brings a powerful presence both on stage and in front of the camera. My goal? To create bold, striking images that match the intensity of her artistry.

To bring these shots to life, I experimented with coloured flash and creative in-camera techniques, pushing the boundaries of light and shadow. NOVA’s signature red was central to the shoot, symbolizing passion, confidence, and raw energy. I wanted every frame to reflect her dynamic persona—fierce, unapologetic, and unforgettable.

For the final edits, I leaned into the drama—bold color-grading with a red bias, contrasted with images featuring in-camera effects for a more abstract, dreamlike aesthetic. A mix of raw power and artistic finesse, just like NOVA herself.
