Austin, Texas—home to SXSW, one of the most electrifying music festivals in the world. A global stage for emerging and established talent, the festival brings together artists, industry professionals, and music lovers for an unforgettable celebration of live music.

As a music blog and music zine, Be Seen To Be Heard! is dedicated to capturing the essence of live performances and artist storytelling through striking photography. At SXSW, I had the incredible opportunity to document some of the most exciting rising and established artists, both on stage and in exclusive promo sessions.

From the raw intensity of Baby Queen, Bad Waitress, and Grandmas House to the poetic presence of Sinead O’Brien and the hypnotic energy of Moor Mother, each act brought something unique to the lens. The electrifying punk grit of Big Joanie, the soulful harmonies of Joseph, and the indie charm of Katy Kirby made for unforgettable live moments. Dani Larkin’s haunting folk melodies, Pillow Queens’ high-energy set, and Kristin Hersh’s legendary stage presence were just a few more highlights.

With so many standout acts—Liz Lawrence, Ellevator, Ragamuffs, Roller Derby, SG Goodman, Heavy Salad, and Me Rex—it was a dream to capture the energy and emotion of their performances. Each photograph tells a story, from sweat-drenched festival stages to intimate, atmospheric promo shots.
